1991-07-12 [[Tony Lopez]] w rsc 6 [[Lupe Gutierrez]], Caesar’s Palace, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Mills Lane. Right from the opening bell, Lopez (130) moved in with jabs and solid rights and after nearly being floored in the second round Gutierrez (130) was cut on the right eye. In the third it was Lopez’s turn to get cut over the right eye, but it didn’t stop his forward move even though Gutierrez was trying to stay with him. By the end of the fifth, Gutierrez appeared tired following a fierce exchange which left him with a cut under the left eye and into the sixth he was set about big time as Lopez went for the kayo. With his face looking a mess, Gutierrez was forced to take a barrage of blows before he crashed through the ropes and the referee immediately waived it off on the 2.42 mark.
