1991-07-12 Tony Lopez w rsc 6 Lupe Gutierrez, Caesar’s Palace, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Mills Lane. Right from the opening bell Lopez (130) moved in with jabs and solid rights, and after nearly being floored in the second round Gutierrez (130) was cut on the right eye. In the third it was Lopez’s turn to get cut over the right eye, but it did not stop his forward march even though Gutierrez was trying to stay with him. Appearing tired following a fierce exchange which left him with a cut under the left eye in the fifth, Gutierrez was set about big time in the sixth as Lopez went for the kayo. With his face looking a mess, after Gutierrez was forced to take a barrage of blows before crashing through the ropes the referee immediately called it off on the 2.42 mark.
