Canizales (118) controlled the fight from beginning to end, flooring the challenger twice, once in the second round from a left-right combination and again in the 12th with a left hook, to    counter-punch his way to a conclusive points win. Although Morales (118) finished in an upright position he was later admitted to hospital after collapsing in a critical condition on leaving the arena and never boxed again.
