1991-10-19 [[Israel Contreras]] w co 5 [[Luisito Espinosa]], Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines - WBA. Referee: Roberto Ramirez. Although he made a fast start, Contreras (117½) soon seemed booked for defeat when being dropped twice by Espinosa (118) in the second round from combinations, and was desperately hanging on at the bell. However, changing tactics in the third, knowing that Espinosa had struggled to make the weight, the challenger made the body his target and in the fifth session he put the Filipino down three times, the third occasion seeing him counted out at 2.16 on failing to get to his feet on time.
