1992-03-15 [[Eddie Cook]] w co 5 [[Israel Contreras]], Bally’s Park Place Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBA. Referee: Richard Steele. Coming in as a late substitute the southpaw challenger bamboozled Contreras (117½) right from the start, spearing him with jabs and keeping him off balance with great combinations. Recognised as a real banger, Contreras could not find the room to get his punches off and came apart at the seams in the fourth round when Cook (118) landed a left-right to the jaw which left him face down on the canvas to be counted out on the 1.37 mark.
