1992-04-10 Akinobu Hiranaka w rsc 1 Edwin Rosario, City Bullring, Mexico City, Mexico - WBA. Referee: Enzo Montero. Both men came out firing off punches and with neither relenting it became a real slugging match fought out in the centre of the ring. It couldn’t last and when the champion was sent wobbling into the ropes with Hiranaka (139½), in hot pursuit, smashing in rights and lefts it seemed to be all over. However, with Rosario (140) still standing and even punching back at times, Hiranaka suddenly appeared arm weary, but he continued to throw big shots and when a salvo of left-rights sent the champion lurching across the ring at 1.32 the referee brought the contest to a halt.
