1992-05-08 [[Bobby Czyz]] w pts 12 [[Donny Lalonde]], Riviera Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBA. Referee: Richard Steele. Scorecards: 117-111, 116-110, 116-113. Smashed to the floor in the opening seconds of the fight by a cracker of a left hook and badly cut over the left eye, the challenger, a shadow of his former self, was there to be finished off, but for whatever reason Czyz (187) was unable to complete the job. Continually going below the belt, Czyz was warned several times and in the fifth Lalonde (184½) was cut above the right eye, giving him even more problems. Both men began to tire in the middle rounds, but it was Czyz who was landing the heavier punches and although Lalonde bravely stood his ground he was unable to find any kind of a winning punch. The tenth round saw Czyz finally being deducted a point for punching low, but it made little difference and Lalonde was forced to take a few more for good measure as the contest wound down.
