1992-06-13 Anaclet Wamba w rsc 5 Andrei Rudenko, Marcel Cerdan Sports Palace, Levallois-Perret, France - WBC. Referee: Joe Cortez. Trying to pressure the champion early on, Rudenko (186½) showed plenty of gumption but by the fourth he was being opened up and caught by solid right counters and body punches. Rudenko continued his forward march in the fifth despite being caught by lefts and rights to the head, and when Wamba (189¾) realised that his rival was hurt he opened up with two heavy rights to drop him. Although Rudenko made it to his feet before being counted out, when his corner threw the towel in the referee stopped the contest after two minutes of the session had elapsed.
