1992-07-11 [[Robert Quiroga]] w pts 12 [[Jose Ruiz]], Aladdin Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Richard Steele. Scorecards: 114-113, 114-113, 114-114. Knocked down in the third round, Quiroga (114) put that behind him as he just about retained his title over the fast moving Ruiz (115), who would have been crowned champion if he had upped his work rate. Admittedly below par, many of his combinations being blocked or off target, at least Quiroga made the running while Ruiz spent too much time posturing.
