1992-09-12 Paul Hodkinson w rsc 10 Fabrice Benichou, Ice Skating Rink, Blagnac, France - WBC. Referee: Franz Marti. There seemed little doubt that the better boxing and forcing of the champion had put him into a clear lead by the time of the finish, but when Benichou (126) was pulled out at 1.35 of the tenth after suffering a dreadful cut on his upper lip the scorecards showed little between them. That was surprising as Benichou had been dropped by a barrage of blows in the fourth, hurt again in the sixth, and despite showing great resilience and gameness produced little, with Hodkinson (125¾) always seeming to have the upper hand.
