1992-11-20 Genaro Hernandez w rsc 6 Yuji Watanabe, Metropolitan Gym, Tokyo, Japan - WBA. Referee: Enzo Montero. Although the challenger started strongly, Hernandez (130) began to put his punches together in the second, being most effective with left uppercuts to head and body, and Watanabe (129½) lost his way before coming back in the fourth with good body attacks. Not to be denied, Hernandez pushed on with double and triple hooks and was landing almost without reply in the sixth when the referee made a well-timed stoppage after 59 seconds, despite there being no knockdowns.
