1992-12-10 Ratanapol Sorvoraphin w pts 12 Manny Melchor, National Indoor Gym, Bangkok, Thailand - IBF. Referee: Abraham Pacheco. Scorecards: 115-112, 117-110, 112-115. The 19-year-old Sorvoraphin (104½) made quite an impression when using aggressive tactics to unsettle Melchor (105), who was forced to fight on the back-foot most of the way. He even dropped the champion with a left hook in the seventh round and, when cut over the left eye, deployed a good left jab to keep his rival at bay.
