1993-02-03 Paul Hodkinson w rtd 4 Ricardo Cepeda, Olympia, Kensington, London, England - WBC. Referee: Franz Marti. Ripping in to the challenger from the opening bell, Hodkinson (125¾) pounded Cepeda (125¾) incessantly throughout, especially to the body, and it was only great conditioning that kept the Puerto Rican going for as long as he did. Standing right in front of the champion, Cepeda was knocked down in the second round by a chopping right and took a mandatory ‘eight’ count before getting back in the fray, only to take a one-sided beating until his corner brought matters to a halt when the towel was thrown in after 37 seconds of the fourth session had elapsed.
