1993-02-13 John John Molina w rsc 8 Francisco Segura, Roberto Clemente Coliseum, Bayamon, Puerto Rico - IBF. Referee: Roberto Ramirez. Making good use of his height-and-reach advantages, the champion quickly went to work on Segura (128), jabbing well and landing powerful rights, and having hurt his squat rival several times took time out in the fourth and fifth rounds after going well clear. By now Segura was badly cut on the forehead. Badly hurt in the sixth, Segura absorbed a steady beating throughout the seventh, during which he was cut on the left eye. With Molina (129¾) two-fistedly driving Segura before him in the eighth the end was in sight, and the referee called it off on the 2.24 mark when the latter was deemed unable to defend himself adequately.
