1993-03-27 Orlando Canizales w rtd 11 Clarence Adams, The Casino, Evian Les Bains, France - IBF. Referee: Robert Palmer. Trying to become the youngest world champion since Wilfred Benitez, Adams (117¼) put on a terrific show before his father threw in the towel at 1.32 of the 11th round after his boy had taken a thumping left hook to the jaw. Although Canizales (118) dominated the first four sessions, Adams came on to win some of the middle rounds and cut Canizales on the temple before the champion came storming back to secure the win.
