1993-05-04 Reggie Johnson w pts 12 Wayne Harris, McNichol’s Arena, Denver, Colorado, USA - WBA. Referee: Rafael Ramos. Scorecards: 120-108, 120-109, 120-110. Coming in as a late substitute for Jorge Castro, the tall challenger was no match for Johnson (160), who treated the fight as he would have a sparring session, prodding his rival with southpaw jabs while opening up only occasionally. Several times Harris (160) slipped off the ring apron that was far too close to the ropes and in the eighth round he actually twisted his right knee. Ordered by the doctor to continue, Harris, who had not won a round up to that point, carried on half-heartedly while Johnson failed to take advantage of the situation and did his prospects no good at all with a lethargic display that lasted through to the final bell.
