1993-05-21 Katsuya Onizuka w pts 12 Jae-Shin Lim, Nihon Budokan Martial Arts Hall, Tokyo, Japan - WBA. Referee: Kenjiro Makizumi. Scorecards: 116-115, 117-113, 115-116. In what was a difficult fight for him, Onizuka (115) struggled to overcome Lim (114¾), who took the initiative to fire off salvos of one-twos and show good movement to confuse the champion. Although Onizuka came back well in the middle rounds and shook Lim up several times, the latter rallied well to garner the last two sessions but failed to convince more than one of the judges that he was worthy of the title.
