1993-06-26 [[Nigel Benn]] w rsc 4 [[Lou Gent]], Olympia Grand Hall, Kensington, London, England - WBC. Referee: Larry O’Connell. Although Gent (167) got through the first two rounds without too much damage he was soon put under pressure in the third as the champion looked to finish the fight as soon as possible. Driving Gent into a neutral corner, Benn (167) began to unload and a cracking right-left quickly had the challenger over for ‘six’. Surprisingly, Gent went straight after Benn, only to be dropped twice more and cut over the left eye before the session was over. Benn was now looking to finish the job and after Gent had got up after being floored by a right to the head he was put down by right to the ribs, whereupon the referee stopped the fight 35 seconds into the fourth.
