1993-08-06 Felix Trinidad w rsc 1 Luis Garcia, Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum, Bayamon, Puerto Rico - IBF. Referee: Waldemar Schmidt. Making his first defence less than two months after winning the title Trinidad (146½) did not hang around against Garcia (147), dropping his challenger after just 75 seconds with a left hook, aided by a solid right to the jaw. Although Garcia survived that one he was dumped three more times in the opening session and halted with 29 seconds left on the clock. A good puncher, Garcia was never given the chance to get going, let alone damage Trinidad.
