1993-10-09 [[John John Molina]] w rsc 8 [[Bernard Taylor]], Condado Convention Centre, San Juan, Puerto Rico - IBF. Referee: Roberto Ramirez. Making his third try for a world title, Taylor (129½) made a good start when Molina (130) was cut over the left eye in the opening session, but although he remained competitive it was the champion who soon took over. Before too long Molina had asserted himself with fast flurries of blows and good hand speed until Taylor came back well in the seventh, landing his best punches of the fight. The eighth, however, proved to be the last round of boxing and it was all over after one minute had elapsed. Coming on strong, Molina cracked in a big right uppercut prior to unleashing a burst of heavy punches to the head that left the challenger badly stunned and in no fit state to continue as far as the referee was concerned.
