1993-10-09 [[Nigel Benn]] drew 12 [[Chris Eubank]], Old Trafford, Manchester, England - WBC/WBO. Referee: Larry O’Connell. Scorecards: 115-113, 113-115, 114-114. Having been beaten inside the distance at the middleweight limit by Eubank, now the 168lbs WBO champion, Benn was happy to put his 168lbs WBC title on the line in a rematch. Always intense, despite there being no knockdowns both men had their successes and neither man ever set up a good lead although Benn (167) appeared to land the heavier blows. However, Eubank (168) was always solid and in the fifth he hurt Benn before the sixth saw the latter deducted a point for going low, having been warned previously to keep his punches up. At the final bell, initially the majority thought that Benn had got home, but under scrutiny it was clear that neither deserved to lose and the decision was eventually seen as being a fair one.
