1993-12-11 Henry Maske w pts 12 David Vedder, Philips Hall, Dusseldorf, Germany - IBF. Referee: Norbert Krosch. Scorecards: 118-110, 120-107, 120-108. Piling up the points with a southpaw jab that was backed up with solid lefts to head and body, the champion dominated Vedder (172½) throughout the contest without ever looking likely to knock him over. Deducted a point for careless use of the head in the seventh, Vedder’s challenge was all about closing in and holding, and on one occasion, in the tenth, he virtually threw Maske (174¾) over his shoulder. Surprisingly, Maske finished the contest without the normal problems of cuts while Vedder was marked over both eyes.
