1994-01-22 [[John John Molina]] w rtd 6 [[Floyd Havard]], Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff, Wales - IBF. Referee: Brian Garry. Dominating the southpaw challenger from the start, his fast hands being a major factor, Molina (128) refused to be kept at distance and was always looking to walk through the punches to get his own off. Early in the third round a straight right followed by a battery of punches dropped Havard (130) for the mandatory ‘eight’ and on resuming the Welshman sensibly kept his distance while Molina looked to finish it. Attacking from head to body, Molina would not be denied and after taking steady punishment Havard was again put down in the sixth before being retired by his corner at the end of the session, suffering a badly broken nose.
