1994-02-02 Josue Camacho w pts 12 Paul Weir, Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, Scotland - WBO. Referee: Knud Jensen. Scorecards: 115-114, 118-111, 116-112. In what was described by Britain’s trade paper, Boxing News, as one of the worst world title fights ever, both men failed to impress themselves on each other. As the challenger, despite being cut over the right eye, Weir (107½) should have done better, but Camacho (108) was so negative, holding and leaning on whenever the Scot closed in that he really did not deserve to retain his title.
