1994-02-13 [[Jake Rodriguez]] w pts 12 [[Charles Murray]], Bally’s Park Place Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - IBF. Referee: Tony Orlando. Scorecards: 115-113, 114-114, 116-112. Unable to get his act together, Murray (140) found himself bulled out of the fight by the aggressive southpaw challenger, who was never discouraged whatever came his way. Rodriguez (140) was constantly going forward and even when Murray was connecting with lead rights and crisp combinations he wasn’t fazed. With both men looking to get on the inside on occasion it was the challenger who usually made it and following the fight Murray was generous enough to admit that Rodriguez had outworked and outhustled him. There were no knockdowns and despite the head butts that Murray complained about there were no injuries either.
