1994-03-05 James Toney w rsc 4 Tim Littles, Olympic Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, USA - IBF. Referee: Pat Russell. It had been fairly even up until the third round but when an unintentional head butt opened up a bad cut over the champion’s left eye, Littles (166½) tried to take advantage of the situation and almost immediately paid the price. Realising that the fight might be stopped, Toney (167¾) hurt Littles with a solid left hook before dropping him with an overarm right close to the end of the session. Racing out of his corner at the start of the fourth, Toney soon had Littles in trouble and after dropping him three times with heavy rights to the head the referee called the fight off on the 1.03 mark.
