1994-06-25 Daniel Jimenez w pts 12 Cristobal Pasqual, The Bullring, Utrera, Spain - WBO. Referee: Jose Sousa. Scorecards: 116-112, 119-117, 116-113. Remaining in Spain for his third defence, Jimenez (122) next took on the 34-year-old Pasqual (122) who had hardly been active since turning pro in 1989. Despite being seen as an easy opponent for Jimenez the Spaniard performed much better than expected and played his part in what was an interesting contest. However, it was not enough and Jimenez, who showed superior technical ability and solid jabs that eventually cut Pasqual over the left eye in the 11th, was a deserving winner.
