1994-07-09 [[Chris Eubank]] w pts 12 [[Mauricio Amaral]], Olympia Grand Hall, Kensington, London, England - WBO. Referee: Steve Smoger. Scorecards: 116-114, 115-113, 116-113. Although Amaral (166) started well, the champion began to match him with jabs from the second round and also began to take the judges’ eyes with bursts of hard punches prior to the end of each session. Despite this Amaral was still going well and in the seventh he drove Eubank (168) back across the ring and opened a cut on his left eye. Continuing to press forward, Amaral was well in the fight at this stage, but following a couple of messy rounds Eubank came back to dominate the last three sessions as the Brazilian tired.
