1994-08-27 [[Chris Eubank]] w rtd 7 [[Sam Storey]], International Arena, Cardiff, Wales - WBO. Referee: Dave Parris. Jabbing away with the southpaw right, Storey (168) was well in the fight up until the fifth round when cut badly on the right cheek, despite having been forced to take heavy blows when the champion occasionally opened up. Knocked over from a right to the head in the sixth, it was clear that Storey was having trouble with his left ankle when he got up and early in the seventh he went down on one knee without taking a punch. Although Storey got to his feet he was quickly put under a two-fisted attack by Eubank (168) and after being floored again his corner tossed in the towel, the finish coming one minute into the session.
