1994-09-03 Chana Porpaoin w pts 12 Keum-Yung Kang, City Sports Ground Arena, Patthalung, Thailand - WBA. Referee: Masakazu Uchida. Scorecards: 120-110, 119-112, 119-110. Having played cat and mouse with his challenger in the opening two rounds, Porpaoin (105) picked up the pace in the third, landing hard rights to the body and left hooks to the head. In the sixth, Kang (104¾) was almost knocked out when he was dropped by such punches before being saved by the bell. With Porpaoin throwing solid uppercuts to the midsection over the last five sessions, Kang tried to come back with body blows of his own, but was soon pushed back. Under pressure, Kang did well to survive to the final bell.
