1994-09-10 Dariusz Michalczewski w pts 12 Leeonzer Barber, Alsterdorf Sports Hall, Hamburg, Germany - WBO. Referee: Raul Caiz. Scorecards: 117-109, 116-111, 116-111. It was the challenger who made the better start of the pair and while Barber (174½) was always dangerous with the right hand he was being outworked. Despite being cut on the left eye in the eighth, Michalczewski (174½) continued to outjab Barber, who appeared to be relying on the big right to get him out of trouble. In the final session Michalczewski was given time out after being struck low, but was soon back in charge once recovered.
