1994-09-10 Humberto Gonzalez w rsc 7 Juan Domingo Cordoba, Caesar’s Palace, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA - WBC/IBF. Referee: Mills Lane. Impressing the onlookers with his game display, the little known Cordoba (107) gave it his best shot but found the southpaw champion too strong for him. Having blasted away at the tough Argentinian for round after round, Gonzalez (108) finally broke through in the seventh, cutting Cordoba over the right eye and battering him from post to post. At the end of the session, on the advice of the ringside doctor, the fight was halted.
