1994-09-17 [[Felix Trinidad]] w rsc 4 [[Luis Ramon Campas]], MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Richard Steele. Smashed to the floor by a short left hook in the second round the champion was forced to fight back hard as Campas (146½) went after him, and it was just the same in the third as both men let their punches go. Something had to give as Trinidad (146½) rocked Campas with heavy punches in the fourth, only for the latter to come on with hurtful body blows that would have finished off lesser men than the champion. However, Trinidad showed he was made of stern stuff as he hammered back, and after busting Campas’ nose a full dozen big shots thundered into the latter to leave him still standing but totally defenceless before the referee called it off on the 2.41 mark.
