1994-10-25 [[Alfred Kotey]] w pts 12 [[Armando Castro]], Town Hall, Middlesbrough, England - WBO. Referee: Bill Connors. Scorecards: 120-108, 120-108, 119-111. Try as he might, Kotey (117½) could not put the tough Castro (117¾) down, ultimately having to rely on the judges who could do no more than give him the near shut out win he deserved. Showing off his range of punches in short bursts, Kotey was far superior to the plodding challenger, who finished with a badly swollen face, and had he extended himself would surely have won inside the distance.
