1994-11-12 Ratanapol Sorvoraphin w rsc 3 Carlos Alberto Rodriguez, The University, Khonkaen, Thailand - IBF. Referee: Abraham Pacheco. Contested in a makeshift arena, the champion floored Rodriguez (105) in the first round and was then content to toy with his rival until opening up in the third. Although Rodriguez came out in sprightly fashion in the third, he was belted to the ropes with hard jabs and uppercuts before a left to the jaw dropped him for an ‘eight’ count. On getting up, Rodriguez was further dazed by a two-fisted assault and it was not long before Sorvoraphin (105) dropped him again. This time, however, although upright and ready to go the referee had seen enough and stopped the contest with 1.52 of the round remaining.
