1995-01-28 [[Kostya Tszyu]] w rsc 6 [[Jake Rodriguez]], MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Richard Steele. Floored by a cracking right to the head inside 15 seconds, the champion did well to keep going for as long as he did as Tszyu (139½) picked his punches to deliver pain virtually every time he connected. Somehow the southpaw Rodriguez (139½) made it to the end of the fifth round, having been savaged at every opportunity, and only his bravery and instinct had kept him upright. The sixth, which would be the last, was full of incident. It started with a head clash that left Tszyu nursing a cut right eye and ended with Rodriguez being dropped four more times by solid rights before the referee called it off, the finish being timed at 1.50 of the session.
