1995-02-17 Alfred Kotey w rsc 4 Drew Docherty, Tryst Centre, Cumbernauld, Scotland - WBO. Referee: Ismael Fernandez. It was always going to be an uphill struggle for the game Docherty (118), and so it proved. Giving it his best shot when taking the fight to the champion, the little Scot backed Kotey (117¼) against the ropes in the third round before a cracking right put him down for 'eight'. Having got up to slug it out, Docherty came out for the fourth session considerably weakened, and after being felled by two more heavy rights the referee stopped the count at 'five' to call a halt after just 50 seconds had elapsed.
