1995-02-18 Francisco Tejedor w rtd 6 Jose Luis Zepeda, Bernardo Caraballo Coliseum, Cartagena, Colombia - IBF. Referee: Francisco Hernandez. In a contest for the title vacated by Pichit Sithbanprachan, having run the latter close last time out Zepeda (111½) was favoured over Tejedor (111½) to become champion. Both men were good punchers and it was expected to be an exciting affair. Even coming into the third, Zepeda suffered a badly cut right eye and was forced on the defensive. Although Zepeda fought back in the fifth the injury was worsening and in the sixth he received such a battering at the hands of Tejedor that he was retired by his corner at the end of the round.
