1995-03-17 Julian Jackson w rsc 2 Agostino Cardamone, Memorial Auditorium, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA - WBC. Referee: Marty Denkin. Fighting for the title vacated by Gerald McClellan, Cardamone (160) came out in confident fashion, banging in southpaw lefts and rights from head to body and staggering Jackson (160) badly with a solid left to the jaw towards the end of the first session. Both men attacked at the start of the second and again Jackson was hurt. Confident of the win, Cardamone moved in to finish the job, but having missed with a left he was caught by a cracking right to the head and was sent crashing downwards to be counted out on the 1.50 mark.
