Despite carrying a strained right wrist into the fight and suffering a cut over the left eye in the second round, Weir (108) outboxed the challenger all of the way to win handily. It was the champion’s immaculate left hand which notched up the points, while Magramo (108), swinging in punches from all over, very rarely hit the target and was left bereft of ideas.
