1995-04-08 Felix Trinidad w rsc 2 Roger Turner, Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - IBF. Referee: Mitch Halpern. Starting the opening session nervously, the challenger flicked out the left jab from distance, half expecting Trinidad (147) to counter, before circling the ring and scurrying away. Coming out with more purpose in the second, Trinidad had obviously detected no danger from Turner (147) and went to work before dumping the latter for ‘nine’ with a heavy left hook. On the resumption Trinidad went in throwing punches and after Turner had been rocked and smashed into a corner by a slamming right the referee made a fully justified stoppage at 2.28 of the session.
