1995-04-22 Eddie Hopson w co 7 Moises Pedroza, Bally’s Park Place Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - IBF. Referee: Eddie Cotton. Following Juan Molina’s abdication, Hopson (128), a fast-handed flashy southpaw, and Pedroza (130) came together to contest the vacant title and the former amateur star fullfilled his earlier promise when winning the title. In a contest of clashing styles, Hopson proved to be too fast for the Colombian and floored him with a straight left in the sixth before setting him up with a three-punch combination which sent him crashing to the floor to be counted out at 2.07 of the seventh.
