1995-05-19 Lonnie Bradley w rsc 12 David Mendez, Buffalo Bill’s Hotel & Casino, Reno, Nevada, USA - WBO. Referee: Richard Steele. Contesting the vacant title, Bradley (160) always had things under control, boxing well behind a solid left jab and mixing up punches to head and body whenever the opportunity arose. By the eighth round, Mendez (159), both of his eyes beginning to swell, was looking as though he was ready to be taken, but still Bradley boxed in a controlled fashion. It was only in the final session that Bradley really opened up and after he had stunned Mendez with four overarm rights, the referee called a halt to proceedings with 50 seconds of the fight left on the clock.
