1995-06-02 [[Alejandro Gonzalez]] w rsc 9 [[Tony Green]], Foxwoods Resort Casino, Ledyard, Connecticut, USA - WBC. Luis Carlos Guzman. Having dropped the challenger early in the first round following two solid left hooks, Gonzalez (126) handed out a steady shellacking before being able to floor the tough Green (124¼) again, this time it was right uppercut in the seventh which did the trick. How Green kept going was amazing, and in the eighth he was still trying despite being brutalised before the referee rescued him after 31 seconds of the ninth when he was defenceless on the ropes.
