1995-10-07 Dariusz Michalczewski w pts 12 Philippe Michel, Festival Hall, Frankfurt, Germany - WBO. Referee: Jose Rivera. Scorecards: 117-109, 120-107, 120-107. The limited challenger tried his best but was ultimately no match for Michalczewski (174), who picked his shots throughout and won every round according to two of the judges’ cards. Badly hurt in the ninth when taking several heavy blows to the head, Michel (173) did well to survive, especially when standing up to Michalczewski’s powerful left hook. Deducted two points for head butts, Michel finished strongly but to no avail.
