1995-10-13 Jorge Castro w pts 12 Reggie Johnson, Comodoro Rivadavia Stadium, Chubut, Argentina - WBA. Referee: John Coyle. Scorecards: 118-113, 115-113, 112-115. Making his fourth title defence, Castro (160), fighting for the first time since a car crash in July, took a long time to get going and it was only the lack of aggression on the part of Johnson (157¾) that saved the day for him. By the tenth Castro was beginning to get into his stride and he swept through the last two sessions, driving Johnson before him. The fight was too close for comfort as far as Castro was concerned and had Johnson not been deducted a point in the sixth for butting he might have pulled it off.
