1995-10-21 Daniel Jimenez w pts12 Alfred Kotey, York Hall, Bethnal Green, London, England - WBO. Referee: Dave Parris. Scorecards: 116-111, 115-113, 114-113. Having dropped Jimenez (117¾), already cut over the left eye, with a terrific left hook to the body in the third round, Kotey (117½) failed to capitalise on it and allowed himself to be both outboxed and outworked. For some unknown reason, the champion had no real sense of urgency. In failing to pick up the pace, especially when he needed to put the result out of reach, Kotey allowed the Puerto Rican to nick the title.
