1995-11-04 [[Marco Antonio Barrera]] w rsc 7 [[Eddie Croft]], Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - WBO. Referee: Jay Nady. Despite the challenger being tough and difficult to discourage, he was unable to win a round against Barrera (122), who worked away steadily to head and body and showed excellent variety. Round after round it went with Croft (121½), who picked up damage to his right eye in the second, continuing to prove remarkably tough and resilient. It could not go on and by the sixth Barrera was upping the pace. Then, in the seventh he really went to work and was picking Croft off and punishing him when the referee made a timely intervention after 38 seconds of the round had elapsed.
