1995-11-06 Daniel Zaragoza w pts 12 Hector Acero-Sanchez, Great Western Forum, Los Angeles, California, USA - WBC. Referee: Vince Delgado. Scorecards: 115-112, 116-112, 113-114. Following their earlier contest, this was a return by public demand, and while it was again very close this time it was Acero-Sanchez (122) who was left bitter. As expected, the southpaw Zaragoza (122) was soon crowding Acero-Sanchez and getting under the jab to pound the body as he set the pace. However with heads coming together it was no surprise that the former picked up five gashes. In the middle rounds, Acero-Sanchez’s better boxing looked as though it might take him into a winning position, but Zaragoza’s determination cancelled it out when coming through with the heavier shots in the final session.
