Line 1: Line 1:
1995-11-18 Felix Trinidad w co 4 Larry Barnes, Convention Centre, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA - IBF. Referee: Benji Esteves. Much shorter than the upright champion and looking a division or two smaller as well, Barnes (146) was soon under pressure and his face was already swelling when the opening round ended. Although Barnes opened up wildly in the second Trinidad (147) picked him off almost nonchalantly, but held back until the fourth when he opened up with both hands in a bid to finish it. Ramming punches in to head and body from both hands Trinidad set about Barnes in a clinical fashion, but although wobbling his game opponent he could not find the finishing blow until a left hook to the body saw the latter on one knee and counted out on the 2.54 mark.
